What if we could turn every smartphone into a tool for change?
Addressing the global predicament of food insecurity, a challenge confronted by over 2.3 billion individuals, prompted the contemplation and subsequent initiative of WhatSupper. In collaboration with a team of seven dedicated individuals, our objective was to enhance the accessibility of nutritious meals for the everyday consumer, thereby fostering greater convenience in their dietary choices.
Who's our target audience?
In an effort to comprehend the needs and challenges faced by economically disadvantaged households, we conducted comprehensive surveys and usability assessments. We engaged with members of our local community to gather their insights into their experiences with meal prepping.
A total of 27 participants took part and provided their responses in our survey, and through careful analysis we were able to determine the core issues they were facing.
Where we could have improved
When showcasing this application to potential stakeholders and peers, the concept received enthusiastic feedback. However, a notable drawback in our product was the limited resources available for development. Relying on OpenAI and DALL-E to generate recipes and images resulted in a longer duration for WhatSupper to produce these elements than desired.
Moving ahead, enhancing the efficiency of our AI generation process and fortifying the overall robustness of our application will significantly improve the user experience with WhatSupper.
